Overall, Anime Expo was a good experience. I can't say I enjoyed it more than Anime Fest though. AE seemed to have a little trouble with organization. Maybe it was just the fact there were a bajillion people there that day. It took forever for anyone to get into the exhibition hall. And when you got inside a few of the booths were fairly cool and original mainly distributor booths like ADV and the like. Unfortunately, most of the dealers were carrying a bunch of the same stuff. There were a few that jazzed it up a bit, but still a lot of crossover. Now the main reason I went was for the SOS Invasion concert. However, this had a lot of problems with it in the end. Seating began two hours late. And apparently they couldn't afford more than two mics or something. The a/v engineer took his sweet time doing stuff. And I guess all the voice actors all got the scripts for the show that day. It ran really ragged at points. It was neat to see and hear the Japanese voice cast do the original songs from the show, but they didn't do them well. The studio versions were much better than the live. They didn't have anything on the band Flow that we saw at Anime Fest. Will I go again? I don't know. It really depends on who they book.
Also, I'm trying to work on some drawings again. They may have to wait until I can get a new scanner.
Also, I had a choice between a bed and a PS3. I think I made the right decision
